New in #17: Bargain Hunter!

So, my last New In contained almost solely samples, but this time I snatched up some reals deals, bargains or vouchers helped me there. And even though I am barely susceptible for nail varnishes anymore…

…I got six new ones.

Yes, I know how to contradict myself, thanks you very much.

These three Sally Hansen polishes I grabbed for less than £1.50 per bottle. The selcetion was limited but I just couldn’t say no to it. Good to Grape, a true Cadbury chocolate lilac, which you can see on my nails in my last Mascara Monday. Shell We Dance is a milky-rosy nude which makes your nails look very polished, and New Wave Blue appears to be more blue in the bottle, I’d say it is a blue-leaning teal, cream finish as well. I am quite liking the wide, round cut Sally Hansen brush.

I’d like to pause for a minute now so we can all enjoy the next beauty:

Artdecos next Limited Edition, Majestic Beauty, is a royal beauty indeed: The Beauty Box (9.95€) are made for four eyeshadows or one eyshadow and a blush. The design is an elegant paisley pattern this time. I only got the editions blush in there for now, but it is gorgeous: princess lilly (8,50€) is a cool toned, dark mauve with shimmer, easily blended and well you know, winter is coming…(I had to!). So far I have only seen this Limited Edition on Artdeco’s website but it will surely make its way onto Debenhams’ as well. Check out a swatch further down.

You have no idea how long I have been waiting until these gems were included in a Bourjois offer! And I’m afraid I have to tell you: These Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstics are just about everything they are hyped for! Incredibly silky-smooth texture, matte but not flat, lovely pigmented (one layer on my lips) and so long wearing! they last all day, even through not-too-greasy meals. I got the strawberry red shade Frambourjois – I see what you did there, Bourjois – first…and I basically am sure that this won’t be my last one. You can find Bourjois mostly anywhere, even Tesco, Asos (12,80€) seems to have a few shades online as well, and Boots (£8.99), obviously. I recommend keeping an eye out for any 3 for 2 or £3 off offers!

Well, you may believe it or not – I actually found a sweet Clarins deal in TkMaxx! This Clarins Eclat Minute Embelliseur Lèvres (£18) is frequently described as an utter miracle product, moisturising and tinted – well about time I got to test this. My lip perfector is in the shade Candy Shimmer and came with a sample size of the Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara (£21) – perfect for my Mascara Monday! So both will get their own review eh.

Quite mysteriously I found this next rare bargain at TkMaxx as well: A single Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Blush. I have no idea how it got there! The imprint is just too pretty, pricewise it was about at third of the original pricetag so I couldn’t say no. Well, you know what I mean. It’s not like anybody would need a specific blusher… The shade Natural seems to have a very light golden overspray, the blush itself is a light pink. The backside of the cardboard box holds a good sized mirror and a soft brush. Could you have refused it?

Well then – I doubt you could have refused these three glitter beauties by Nails Inc. for a fiver either? Eh? EH?

Thought so. In order of the swatches, these are: Nails inc. Nagellack Grosvenor Gardens (Sommer Party), Nails inc. Modern Art Millbank Nagellack und Nails Inc. Knightsbridge Road Galaxy Nail Effects. Mostly sold out but I linked where I could find them. I’ve been wearing Millbank for about a week, you can see it in the latest Mascara Monday, and it lasted pretty well. These glitters go on opaque if you use about three layers!

For the longest time I have been on the hunt. For a matte, mid-toned, brown blending eyeshadow. I actually already wanted to bite the expensive bullet and get the L’Oréal Mono Breaking Nude, but really, £5.50 for one shadow? Mh!

My bargain hunting instincts kicked and I found myself in front of the Make Up Revolution shelf: Quite a selection and what can I say: Mocha Latte is just about as smooth and the most perfect blending shade. For a pound. Better deal methinks. Since I was there already I grabbed the Essential Mattes palette (£4) as well (don’t judge). I will write about it including my usual palette swatches in the near future, of course. One point of criticism so far: The first four shadows are much too similar. I would have traded at least two for more taupes, browns, purples or even a green.

No, that last bit is no make up, but a beauty as well: Not a real bargain at £25 but half in price anyway: The Fiorelli Madison Bag. A gorgeous, compact crossbody in bright red. It has so many compartments! Usually, I must admit, I am “type shopper bag” but I am quite in love with this small bag right now. You obviously can only bring the very essentials – and I am fine with that! Different to my usual two extra pouches, a drink, a shopping bag etc…well ♥ Fiorelli does magnificent bags and while I couldn’t find this exact make online anymore, you can view their range on amazon for example.

I am sure the matte Make Up Revolution palette and the Clarins Lip Perfector will make another appearance on the blog – is there anything else you would be interested in seeing more about? 🙂

Also: Big shopper bags vs. small crossbody … where do you stand?

Nachdem mein letztes New In ziemlich Sample-lastig ausfiel, gibt es diesmal einige Schönheiten, die ich günstig oder mit Gutscheinen erstanden habe. Obwohl ich eigentlich kaum noch anfällig für Nagellacke bin…

…gibt es erst mal sechs Neuzugänge in diesem Post.

Mir selbst widersprechen…kann ich!

Diese drei Sally Hansens habe ich für weniger als £1.50 pro Stück gefunden. Natürlich war die Auswahl limitiert, aber diesen drei Schnäppchen hier konnte ich dann doch nicht widerstehen: Good to Grape, eine richtige Milka-Farbe im Cremefinish, hatte ich schon beim letzten Mascara Monday Bild auf den Nägeln. Shell We Dance ist ein milchiger Nudelack, der die Nägel toll gepflegt wirken lässt und New Wave Blue ein schönes Blaugrün, auch Creme. Ich muss sagen, ich mag die breiten, rund geschnittenen Pinsel von Sally Hansen sehr gern.

Für die nächste Schönheit mal ein kleine Schweigeminute:

Artdecos nächste Limited Edition, Majestic Beauty, kommt in der Tat in majestätischer Schönheit daher: Die Beauty Box (9,95€), ausgerichtet für vier Lidschatten oder einen Lidschatten und ein Blush, ist diesmal in einem eleganten Paisleymuster gehalten. Drin ist bei mir bislang “nur” das Rouge der LE, princess lilly (8,50€). Ein kühl gehaltenes, dunkles Mauve mit leichtem Schimmer, das sich sehr gut verblenden lässt. Sehr toll, ihr wisst ja, winter is coming…(der musste sein.) Bislang nur bei Artdeco selbst online, bald sicher auch bei Douglas, einen Swatch gibt’s weiter unten.

Wie lange ich darauf gewartet habe, endlich bei einer Aktion von Bourjois zuzuschlagen! Und ich muss euch sagen: Die Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lippenstifte sind alles, was man im Hype davon liest! Eine unglaublich seidige Textur, matt, aber nicht platt, pigmentiert und haltbar! Und mit haltbar meine ich den ganzen Tag, selbst normales Essen überstand mein Rouge Velvet. Ich habe mir das Erdbeerrot Frambourjois – I see what you did there, Bourjois – ausgesucht…ich habe die Ahnung, dass es nicht mein letzter bleibt. Bei Asos (12,80€) gibt es einige Farben, genau diese findet man bspw. online bei Boots (£8.99) – eine Aktion abwarten lohnt sich, etwa 3 für 2 oder £3 off wie bei mir damals usw.

Ha, man mag es glauben oder nicht – aber ich habe hier doch tatsächlich ein Clarins Schnäppchen bei TkMaxx gemacht. Der Clarins Eclat Minute Embelliseur Lèvres wird regelmäßig als Wunderprodukt beschrieben, jetzt ist es endlich an der Zeit, dass ich das ausprobieren kann. Mein Lip Perfector ist die Farbe Candy Shimmer und kam ua noch noch einer Probe der Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara – perfekt für den Mascara Monday! Für beide wird es also noch ihren eigenen Beitrag geben. Wenn schon, denn schon!

Richtig mysteriös wurde das Schnäppchenschlagen, als ich ebenfalls bei TkMaxx einen einsamen, einzelnen Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Blush gefunden habe. Die Prägung ist einfach zu schön, der Preis lag bei einem Drittel des OVP und da man von der Marke in Europa kaum etwas zu sehen bekommt – ach ihr wisst schon. Ist ja nicht so, als hätte ich einen Blush gebraucht 😉 In Natural mit leicht goldenem Overspray ist dieses Rouge eigentlich ein zartes Pink. Auf der Rückseite hat die Box ein weiteres Fach, mit Spiegel und ziemlich weichem Pinsel. Einfach hübsch!

Nun, also – hättet ihr bei drei schönen Glitterlacken von Nails Inc. für £5 nein gesagt? Mhm? HM?

Dachte ich’s mir. Hier handelt es sich um (Reihenfolge nach den Swatches): Nails inc. Nagellack Grosvenor Gardens (Sommer Party), Nails inc. Modern Art Millbank Nagellack und Nails Inc. Knightsbridge Road Galaxy Nail Effects. Ich habe sie noch bei diversen Seiten gefunden und verlinkt, Millbank konntet ihr ja ebenfalls schon im letzten Mascara Monday sehen. Das Tolle an diesen Glitters: Mit ca. 3 Schichten sind die deckend! Ohne eine farbige Base darunter gut solo tragbar, etwa als Akzentnagel.

Schon seit langem auf der Liste: Ein matter, mittelbrauner Blendelidschatten. Ich hatte einen von L’Oréal (Breaking Nude) im Auge, buttrig weich und tolle Farbe…aber £5.50 für einen Mono? Mh! Schnäppcheninstinkt setzte ein und so fand ich mich bei Make Up Revolution wieder: Viel Auswahl und was soll man sagen: Mocha Latte ist ebenso zart, matt und ein perfekter Blendeton. Und wenn ich schon dabei bin, habe ich auch noch die ganze Essential Mattes eingepackt. Ich werde dazu sicherlich noch meine üblichen Swatches posten…vorab: Überraschend. Ein Kritikpunkt: Die ersten vier hellen Lidschatten hätte man auch mit mehr Taupes, Dunkelbrauns, Violetts oder Grün ersetzen können. Letztendlich machen sie auf der Haut kaum einen Unterschied aus…

Und ganz zum Schluss gibt’s dann noch ein ganz besonderes Schnäppchen – mit £25 zwar nicht extra günstig, aber doch weit runtergesetzt: Die Fiorelli Madison Bag. Eine tolle, kompakte Crossbody in feuerrot mit wahnsinnig vielen Abteilungen…obwohl ich eigentlich grundsätzlich Typ “Shopper” Tasche bin, bin ich zur Zeit richtig verliebt in diese kleine Tasche. Man kann nur das wirklich Nötigste mitnehmen und bislang hat mich das nicht gestört! Ganz was Neues. Normalerweise schleppe ich ja mindestens noch zwei kleine Pouches in meiner Handtasche mit…hach ja. ♥ Fiorelli macht wirklich schöne Modelle, dieses habe ich online nicht mehr gefunden, aber einige weitere gibt’s etwa auf amazon anzusehen.
